Free energy advice for anyone who needs to keep their home warm is on offer at the Re-energise Your Borders Home event, run by Home Energy Scotland – South East, on Thursday April 19, at The Corn Exchange, Melrose, 5.30pm – 7.30pm.
At the event residents will get impartial advice on how to keep warm in their home by learning about different types of insulation, draught-proofing and glazing replacement; and how to reduce energy usage and lower bills. There will be short talks from the experts, tailored energy efficiency advice from Home Energy Scotland’s technical team, plus information about renewable technologies and their suitability for your home, and the funding that is available for them.
Speakers include:
- Scottish Borders Council: Overview of planning requirements with some example case studies.
- Historic Environment Scotland: Conservation and energy efficiency in historic buildings.
- Home Energy Scotland: Introduction to renewable technologies and current funding options.
